I love my family and what they do when they realize I have set the self timed camera to rapid shoot mode instead of single shoot mode.
best christmas photos?

I'm officially too lazy to keep typing out all my football predictions.
next week is the last of the regular season.
I'll give you an over-all record at the end of that.
then it's the post-season baby!
[go patriots!]

manchester road race pictures!!
really tiny!!
and with the "proof" watermark!!
cause there's no way in hell I am paying $15 for one print!!
and here are a few of the zoomed in portion of the photos from the website:
and a couple to show the sheer size of the mass of people running the road race:
[also, blogger's photo formatting can go to hell. spent half an hour trying to get all those to line up.].

that's right!
it's football prediction time!
I know you all were on the edge of your seats in anticipation.
(and once again, I've fallen way behind, so it's all being lumped together)
Week Eleven:
Bills over Bengals
Ravens over Panthers

Titans over Redskins
Cowboys over Lions
Chargers over Broncos
Jets over Texans
Steelers over Raiders
Packers over Vikings
Browns over Jaguars
Falcons over Rams
Saints over Seahawks
Eagles over Giants
Patriots over Colts (awww yeah)
Week Record: 14-2 (either the teams are becoming more predictable, or I'm getting better at this, prolly both.)
Running Record: 89-68
Week Twelve:

Saints over Cowboys
Jets over Bengals
Texans over Titans
Redskins over Vikings
Jaguars over Giants
Browns over Panthers
Packers over Falcons (it was wicked close though)
Steelers over Bills
Chiefs over Seahawks
Raiders over Dolphins
Rams over Broncos
Eagles over Bears
Ravens over Bucs
Colts over Chargers
49ers over Cardinals
Week Record: 10-6
Running Record: 99-74
Week Thirteen:
Eagles over Texans
Browns over Dolphins
Chiefs over Broncos
Packers over 49ers
Saints over Bengals
Giants over Redskins
Jaguars over Titans
Bears over Lions
Bills over Vikings (still rooting for the bills to pull out a couple more wins before the end of the season)
Chargers over Raiders
Colts over Cowboys
Rams over Cardinals
Panthers over Seahawks
Falcons over Bucs
Ravens over Steelers
Patriots over Jets (please oh please oh please oh please)

I noticed that I still automatically and without thinking veer to the left when walking along crowded city streets.
have to start breaking this habit.
the near-collision rate is rapidly rising.

I feenished ze race!
the race photos they took at the finish line aren't up yet (the flag one shown is a stock photo that's on all runners' pages), but this photo was in the hartford courant this morning.
that's my dad and the top of my head!
(unfortunatly, my face is obscured by the things sticking out of the turkey head in front of me.)
but it is proof we were there!
and as soon as the rest of the photos are sorted and posted I will see if there is a semi-decent one of me running that I am not ashamed of putting up here.
and here are my dad's results:
impressive for a 60 year old, no?

these two got married in September then sped off on a plane to explore other countries, taking amazing photographs and promptly spending all their savings.
they are going to travel the world for six months with only each other and a camera.
I cannot think of anything else more appealing.
currently working my way through Paris on their blog (the french city being their first stop) and am already day-dreaming of far away travels, unusual people and scrumptious local cuisine.
sigh....
maybe some day....

so I was searching the blog for a couple of lentil salad recipes my friend Amanda was after and realized I have tried a lot of kick-ass recipes lately that I have ever so horribly neglected to post here.but I am having Ben tote all my recipe notebooks down to Boston.
thus, this unapologetic oversight will be remedied.

oh man.
I just realized.
I have to run 5 miles in 6 days.
and I haven't been running in over two weeks...

whoops...

this falls squarely between freakin adorable and freakin awesome.
to quote the blogger I snagged this from, "That little girl knows it is Friday."
[and the fact that this toddler has about a bajillion times more style and presence than myself? well. we're just not going to go there.]
